How To Fix DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN in Google Chrome Web Browser: Solved

Step: 1 In the first step we need to go to Open Network and Sharing Center
In your Taskbar right click on the Network Icon, then Click on Open Network and Sharing Center.


Step: 2 Now a Window will appear , click on Change Adapter Setting, on the top left Pane.
Step: 3 Now you will see all available Network Connection but you will have to select the one which is active and connected, It can be Wireless Connection or LAN. Once you identify the active and connected Network then Right Click on it and then Click on Properties.


Step: 4 Now another Window will appear there you have to click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and then under it click on Properties button.


Step: 5 Now you will have to Check on using the following DNS server Addresses option where you will input the following DNS server values just as shown in picture below.

Step: 6 Click Ok

Solution 3: Using (Command Prompt) CMD

Follow these 2 easy steps to fix DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN error in your Google Chrome web browser.
First of all you need to open an elevated Command Prompt, Example: (Command Prompt with Admin Rights). When it gets opened, copy and paste the following commands one by one.

Step: 1 First of all you need to open an elevated Command Prompt CMD as an administrator or open CMD Example: (Command Prompt with Admin Rights)


Step: 2 Now Run below command one by one in a same sequence.

  • ipconfig /release
  • ipconfig /all
  • ipconfig /flushdns
  • ipconfig /renew


  • netsh int ip set dns
  • netsh winsock reset

Now when you are done with this go and rebot your laptop/computer. After restarting, the dns_probe_finished_no_internet error won’t appear again.

Solution 4: New Method to solve DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN error:

This is a new method to solve this common DNS Server error, and have worked for many people who was facing this error.

Step: 1 In your chrome address bar, type “chrome://flags/” and press Enter.
Step: 2 Then on the your Right Side) click “Reset all to default” button and Re-launch Google Chrome. That’s it your all done.
