Artweaver for Windows, created by Boris Erich, under the license terms the free version cannot be used for commercial purposes.
The Artweaver program is designed for amateur and professional artists familiar with Adobe Photoshop and Corel Painter. Like them, Artweaver simulates a wide range of classic effects (painting with acrylic, oil, pastel, airbrush, pencils, etc.) when creating artistic images.
The editor contains various filters, works with layers and transparencies (in its .AWD format), and performs import/export of files in various graphic formats. It includes popular filters: smooth blur and masking, smudge, mosaic, and emboss. Artweaver has standard editing tools: gradient, selection and fill ("lasso", "magic wand"), and a pencil for realistic filling.
The most popular formats are supported: TIFF, PNG, JPEG, PCX, BMP, GIF, TGA, PSD (.BMP, .PNG, .GIF, .JPEG formats do not support layers), and the program has its own AWD format.
