NASA World Wind is a program that allows you to view three-dimensional images of Earth, Moon, Mars, Jupiter, and Venus obtained from NASA satellites.
The program also contains statistical information about natural phenomena occurring at various points on the planet (hurricanes, typhoons, tsunamis, winds, and earthquakes). When you click on the city you need, you are redirected to a Wikipedia page where basic historical facts about the city and its most famous landmarks are presented. To navigate to a desired point on the planet, simply use the search. The program displays not only three-dimensional images, but can also show information about population, territorial boundaries, administrative divisions, and even national flags.
In addition to Earth images, it is possible to view images of the Moon obtained from the Clementine satellite launched in 1994. Fine detailing allows viewing the Moon's relief, craters, crevices, and mountains from a distance of twenty meters.
Of course, using the program requires access to high-speed internet, but it is worth it, as the program will be interesting and useful not only for adults but also for children.
