PC-3000 DiskAnalyzer tests drives that are connected normally (SCSI, HDD, External USB HDD/Flash, SATA, SSD). To access the disk device, the application uses the following tools:
SCSI Pass Through IOCTL (SPTI) – a mechanism responsible for reading recorded information and provides access to the SCSI passport, i.e., disk identification data.
S.M.A.R.T. IOCTL provides information about the state of S.M.A.R.T. If necessary, it issues commands to read threshold values and attributes. Works with HDD registers when identifying data.
IDE Pass Through IOCTL allows the use of more S.M.A.R.T. functions due to the absence of restrictions in the register +1 value. Provides access to logs and HDD diagnostics.
SCSI ATA Translation is needed for working with USB interfaces.
