Windows Live Messenger serves for instant messaging in OS - Wind XP, Vista,7, Windows Mobile. Heiress of MSN Messenger, created by Microsoft. It is one of the main elements of Windows in the Microsoft set of network services. The client includes ordinary chat; video, audio conferences; a bulletin board, shared folders, etc.
The client is connected to Microsoft .NET MessengerService. Integration of Active Directory and Live CommunicationServer into the working network of its clients is possible. Main clients that have multi-protocols can also connect to the service.
