Cryptic Disk – an application for managing and creating encrypted partitions and disks. During the process of writing data to an encrypted disk, the data is encrypted automatically, after which it is stored in such a way that it becomes inaccessible to unauthorized persons. The information is automatically decrypted when reading from such a disk.
In order to access the closed data, you must enter a password. The information remains closed even if the disks or computer are seized. To create this type of media, you can use the entire disk (removable, hard disk, or Flash) or separate partitions on it.
The application works based on the cryptographic algorithm AES 256-bit. The system is open for both one user and multiple users. Each of them must have a personal password and access rights to the hidden information.
