Easy CD/DVD Recorder is a program that helps you record as quickly, simply, and conveniently as possible. What was once a lengthy process can now be reduced to just 3 key presses. Only three clicks, and the necessary data is already written to a CD or DVD disc.
All you need to do is select the names of folders and directories, then press the "Start" button. More experienced users can take advantage of expert mode, which is configured through a variety of recording parameters.
Ease of Use
Initially, a couple of programs were developed for this purpose, where the process was complicated, time-consuming, and involved setting many parameters that were not always clear to the user. It was difficult for a beginner to immediately understand how to record and what the offered features affected.
- The procedure was significantly different from copying files to flash drives and other hard drives.
- To perform the operation of rewriting files from a hard drive to a compact disc using Easy CD/DVD Recorder, you will need to:
- Select the required recording device.
- Choose where to record (files and folders). You can also create them immediately if they don't exist yet.
- Press "Start".
It's that simple. You can also perform backups to a compact disc and erase it in a couple of clicks (by selecting the appropriate function and setting the media and disc type).
The recording status can be tracked in the "Progress" bar that appears, which will show the percentage of completion. However, Easy CD/DVD Recorder can also perform additional functions if necessary. For example, the extended recording mode – with the setting of some parameters.
Important: this mode is not for beginners, but for advanced users who understand the essence of the recording process and know which parameters affect what. At the bottom of the window, there is a mode switch "normal – extended".
In extended mode, disc erasing can be done fully or quickly. Full erasing removes all data from the disc, while quick erasing only removes the table of contents. If the "eject disc after erasing" checkbox is checked during erasing, the disc will be automatically ejected after the process completes.
The "Speed" parameter. You can set it to maximum or a slower speed. Setting a lower speed makes sense when working with old, damaged, or repeatedly rewritten discs. The "Select file system type" parameter sets the system before writing to the disc. Three types of file systems are available: - ISO 9660; - ISO 9660 + Joulet Unicode name extensions; - UDF.

You can create a bootable disc. To do this, in the "Boot image file" field, you need to enter the image file name and path to it. The "Recording mode" parameter sets the Track-at-once mode (the laser turns on only during track recording) or Session-at-once (the laser does not turn off between track recordings). The "Settings" tab contains the following options:
- test mode (simulated recording). No actual recording occurs; it checks the possibility of recording;
- multisession disc. Means that after recording, the disc can be written to again in the future;
- recording calibration – calibrates the laser before starting to burn;
- raw data recording – additional recording of service information on the disc;
- subchannel data recording – recording additional subchannel information (track start and end markers, time codes, track types, track indexes, etc.).
The program is downloaded for free, without demo versions, fees, ads, or hidden payments.
Supported laser disc formats include DVD-R, CD-R, DVD-RW, CD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD+R.
