ESET NOD32 Antivirus is one of the most interesting antivirus programs, developed by the company ESET. Simple and easy to use, it provides protection for the computer system against various spyware and unwanted advertising software, rootkits and trojans, worms and viruses. Unlike other antiviruses, ESET NOD32 does not require a large amount of system resources, thereby offering good performance.

ESET NOD32 includes three components that protect the computer:
- Real-time active protection module for the computer file system. This module starts automatically with the operating system boot. The antivirus protects and scans files directly when they are created, and also opens incoming files to check them for malicious trojans.
- Internet access protection module. This module prevents the download of malicious files and also prevents them from infecting the computer while using the internet. The antivirus allows you to manually designate internet browsers, as it does not automatically detect all applications with internet access.
- Email protection. It controls the secure mode of information exchange via the POP3 protocol. Additionally, it is possible to integrate this module with clients of many popular email services, such as, for example, Outlook Express and Microsoft Outlook, it works well with Mozilla Thunderbird and Windows Live Mail, as well as Windows Mail.
Like other antiviruses, NOD32 is created as a licensed commercial version for a period of one year, as well as a trial demo version of the program for thirty days, which is equally functional and fully operational.
To install NOD32 Antivirus on your computer, virtually no special skills are required; it is enough to simply follow the prompts of the installation wizard program. Additionally, the installation wizard itself will check for the necessary settings and updates of the computer system.
Standard installation. It is often marked as recommended. As a result, the level of protection is set to maximum, with default parameters, i.e., standard settings. During the custom installation, it is possible to manually specify a password to protect this application, set up automatic updates of the program and antivirus database, as well as adjust internet access parameters.
