Description

ICE BookReader - Free, powerful program that is designed for comfortable reading of books (e-book reader). Its advantages — a huge number of recognized formats, advanced library management, support for SAPI5 and SAPI4 voice engines; creation of MP3/WAV files from books. It is worth noting the comfortable reading of books in ICE BookReader: you can choose smooth (wave, super smooth) scrolling or manual or auto page turning mode. This reader automatically sets the scrolling or page turning speed.

The program can read text: TXT, XML, HTML, RTF; Microsoft Word documents; PALM books (.PDB, .PRC), PSION / EPOC books (.TCR), MicrosoftReader books (.LIT), MicrosoftHELP files (.CHM) and FictionBook files (all versions) (.XML, .FB2).

Reads files directly from arj, rar, zip,lzh, ha archives.

File conversion: TXT-DOC,HTML-TXT, TXT-HTML, PDB-TXT,FB2-TXT, LIT-TXT,DOC-TXT, etc. when converting different code pages.

Attention! When adding dictionaries for reading books, you need to download and unpack the Language Pack archive. Then open the library settings (Menu ->Views-> Settings->Language). To add a language, press '+'. Move the required languages to "Selected languages". Add only necessary language modules. Each module significantly slows down book import during installation.

Changes in the latest version:

Added a new cursor mode for reading with variable and constant speed. Constant — the same speed regardless of the number of letters in a word.
Added support for images inside MetaFile books.
Fixed support for unsupported graphic formats inside books.
Fixed handling of "hard space" by several older speech synthesis modules.
