VirtualDubMOD, an enhanced version of the well-known program VirtualDub, is used for video processing and capture. Joining, cutting clips, applying filters, transcoding, and more. The authors have not been involved in development since 2006.
The program interface is similar to VirtualDub, with a significant difference being that the Audio menu has been replaced with Streams, reflecting the processing of multiple audio streams. A feature of the program is its ability to work with a vast number of media file formats.
VirtualDubMod differs from VirtualDub in that it opens not only AVI and MPEG1 files, but also OGM, Matroska - MKV, VOB, MPEG2; it supports many audio formats: MP3, AC3, WAV, DTS, Ogg Vorbis, SRT files (ASCII/Unicode). The program works with multiple audio streams (you can add several audio tracks in different formats to an AVI file) and supports playback of similar files from DVD discs – VOB.
